"Integral Dutch Course" is a useful free introduction to the Dutch language. It is available
as a download at several websites. It is 12 chapters long, the first two chapters can serve
as a good introduction to the language. The remaining chapters are good, but cover
various grammatical rules in more detail than the casual researcher will need.
Many of the dates and genealogy came from the birth, death, and marriage records of the
Netherlands at various national, provincial, and municipal archives. The Netherlands have
an incredible quantity of public records that are digitized and available on-line for no
charge. These records go back 500 years! You can sometimes access a record at more
than one website. You should read them all because they sometimes include different
data items in the online summary or transcription. Here are some of the most useful
