Martin Poot, Ph.D., does DNA, cytometry, and cellular biochemical
research in the states of Washington and Oregon. He has made
breakthroughs in cell research using flourescent tags to study the
chemistry of living cells. He holds several patents and publishes
extensively. He has a company named Molecular Probes, Inc. that supplies
his inventions to researchers around the world.

Rik Poot is a world renowned Belgian artist born in 1924. His early works
were terra cotta sculptures about 1949-50. He produced many drawings
and paintings from the 1950s through 1980s. In the 1960's and 1970s he
made mostly bronze sculptures. In the 1970s and 1980s he produced
many lithographs. In the 1980s and 1990s he built many large bronze
monuments for cities and museums. He created a major retrospective
exhibition in 2004 that spread throughout the city of Vilvoorde, Belgium.

Theo Poot is an important international bank executive, elevated to Vice
President of ING Bank, Switzerland in 1998. He was born in Vlaardingen,
Zuid Holland, in May 1951. He received his M.B.A. in Switzerland, then
advanced through positions with banks in France and the Netherlands
until joining ING Bank in 1996.

W. Poot is a widely published researcher in physical chemistry at the Delft
University of Technology.

Willem Poot is a widely featured and popular organist in the Netherlands.
He is an organmaster skilled at constructing and restoring pipe organs.
He also prepares musical arrangements for the organ.
