GENERATION XII

                  XII.3.  Willem Frederik (William Frederick) Poot (Poat) [7169].  Minister in Lutheran Church,
                  built municipal electric power systems, and newspaper editor.  Educated at Univ of Chicago
                  and Moody Bible Institute 1897-8.  Served in Michigan, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, California
                  and Illinois.  Settled permanently in California in 1923.  Retired 1945 after heart attack.  Then
                  operated a watch & clock repair business, spoke as guest minister, was a founding director of
                  Hebrew Union College, and a hospital trustee.  Born in Berlikum, Friesland, Easter Sunday 21
                  Apr 1878.  Died in Riverside, California, USA 12 Sept 1963.

                  First marriage to Anna (Annie) Alberda (also spelled Alberta and Albertie).  Married 28 Dec
                  1898 in Pella, Marion Co., Iowa by his father Rev. J.W. Poot.  Anna was born 24 Apr 1878 in
                  Michigan of Dutch parents.  Her parents might have been Michael and Annie Albertie/Alberda
                  in Georgetown (next to Hudsonville), Ottawa Co., Michigan.  W.F. Poot's first church after
                  marriage was about 35 miles north of their home.  Her parents arrived from Holland in 1867.
                  Anna died 28 June 1908 in Stella, Nebraska.

                  Buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Ashland Co. Ohio.
                  2.     Louise Angela.  Born Apr 1904 and died 20 Oct 1904 in Stella(?), Nebraska.
                  3.     Angela (Ange) Louise.  Born in Stella, Nebraska.  Still living.


                  Second marriage to Pearl May Davis in Salina, Kansas, Sept 1909.  William was her Pastor in
                  New Cambria.  Pearl was born 21 Feb 1889 in New Cambria, Saline Co., Kansas.  She was the
                  daughter of James Nathaniel Davis and Sarah Elizabeth Hoffman.  Her parents died in 1909.
                  Spelling of "Poot" family name changed at her request to "Poat" in 1909.  (Change was
                  because most people misspelled or mispronounced the name.)  Widowed mother, Fredericka
                  Poat, lived with them in Millersburg, Ohio, 1913-1918.

                  4.     Mildred (Mid) Pearl Poat.  Born 15 Nov 1910 in Millersburg, Ohio.  Died 22 Jan 2004 in
                  Riverside, California.
                  5.     Ethel (Lucille) Lucille Poat.  Born 22 Aug 1912 in Millersburg, Ohio.  Died 1 Oct 2004 in
                  San Bernardino, California.
                  6.     Lillian (Sally) Sarah Poat.  Born in Millersburg, Ohio.  Still living.
                  7.     Wilma May Poat.  Born in Los Angeles, California.  Still living.
                  8.     Vivian Jeanne Poat.  Born 13 Jan 1928, died ca 1934 in Riverside, CA.




                  XII.2.  Antonia Poot (Ann Poat) [7167].  Born 24 Mar 1877 (Amsterdam?).  Died in Mansfield,
                  Richland Co., Ohio, USA 31 May 1970.  Married Lambert Noordhoff in 1897.  Lambert was
                  born in The Netherlands 13 Apr 1874.  His parents were probably Henry and Ida Noordhoff
                  and he had a brother William born Feb 1878.  The Noorhoffs came to the USA in 1880.
                  Lambert worked as a bookbinder.  He married Ann while JW Poot living in Gano-Chicago,
                  moved with them to Pella, Iowa, returned with them to West Chicago.  He died Dec 1970 in
                  Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio.
                  From this marriage:
                  1.    Henry Noordhoff.  Son born Mar 1898 in Illinois.  He worked as a printer.
                  2.    Frieda Noordhoff.  Daughter born Aug 1899 in Iowa.
                  3.    John Noordhoff.  Son born 1902 in Illinois.  He worked as a bank clerk.
                  4.    Lawrence Noordhoff.  Son born 1915 in Illinois.
